Ted’s favourite season has to be autumn, given that he is a self-described NFL superfan. Outside that time of year, you might find him reading a book about history or true crime by his favourite author, John Douglas. Along those same lines, Ted might have considered an alternate career as an archaeologist, saying that he really likes history – a lot.
The first trip Ted can recall from childhood was a road-trip in a motorhome with his grandparents from Halifax down the east coast of the USA all the way to New Orleans. However, he and his siblings ended up on an unplanned-for flight home from New Orleans, booked by his parents, as the familial relationships amongst the travellers took a bit of a turn for the worse.
His favourite destination thus far is Australia. On that trip he visited the opal mining town of Coober Pedy, where he was surprised to find out that Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome was filmed, and Uluru (aka Ayers Rock) which he can describe in one word – hot. His Australian itinerary involved a lot of rushing around seeing things, and that’s the kind of trip he finds relaxing.
